Day 1: Almaty
Welcome to Silk Road tour. At the airport, the driver will meet you at the meeting area and transfer to a hotel. Today we will knowledge the central part of Almaty where it is possible to learn more about history and development of the Southern capital of Kazakhstan. Start from the Green Bazaar, walk to one of the oldest Almaty parks - Panfilov Park and see the most beautiful wooden building in the world - Zenkov Cathedral. The next destination is the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame. In the afternoon the group will travel to Medeo Gorge. This area is famous for the highest mountain skating rink in the world and the dam. After some time, we will travel to KokTobe hill. This place is renowned for tallest TV tower in the world. In the end of day have a ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway. Transfer to a hotel for sleep.
Day 2: Almaty - Issyk - Almaty
In the morning travel to one of the most beautiful gorges of Trans Ili Alatau - Issyk Gorge. This site is located along the Kuldja tract. The chance to see the burial mounds of Saka period, where the famous "Golden Man" was found is high. Also, it is the state symbol of Kazakhstan. Our guests will visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum Reserve "ISSYK", devoted to the history and culture of the Saka period, comprising a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment, as well as the model of Saka burial mound. Afterwards we will drive to an altitude of 1756 meters above sea level and admire uniqueness of the attractive mountain Lake Issyk. It was appeared about 10,000 years ago due to landslide and created the natural dam of 300 meters in height. See the imposing loveliness of its turquoise water surface and the Issyk Gorge. Then is transfer to a city. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Almaty - Bishkek
Meet the Kyrgyz driver in the morning and transfer to Bishkek. Bishkek city is the capital and the largest city of Kyrgyzstan situated at about 800 meters (2,600 ft) altitude close the northern range of the Kyrgyz Ala Too range. This range is a wing of the Tian Shan mountains, which rises up to 4,855 meters (15,928 ft) and keeps a remarkable background to the city. Upon arrival we will have a city tour of Bishkek. It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala Too Square, the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic, and so on. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 4: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
Today the driver will pick you up at 8 a.m and transfer to amazing Issyk Kul Lake. This special lake is enclosed by the heavenly mountains. It's the second largest alpine lake in the world of about 1608 m. above sea level and called "the pearl of Central Asia". It has salty water and retains curative qualities. On route to the lake you will visit Burana Tower and an outdoor museum of Balbals (stone warriors). It is a minaret found in the 11th century. Climb to the top if you want to practice the similar view that Silk Road explorers saw themselves. Burana Tower is used to be a sign lengthways the Great Silk Road to let voyagers know there was a city and place to have a break. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 5: Issyk Kul Lake - Karakol
After breakfast you will have trip to Karakol city. On the way, we will stop and visit ancient stone inscriptions (800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. The tour continues sideways the northern shore of the lake to the town of Karakol. On reaching visit the Dungan mosque built in a Chinese style, also without using metal nails. Afterwards visit an old wooden Orthodox Church. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Bishkek
We are glad to provide the next day of visiting Jeti Oguz gorge. The group will see red rocks developments, also called Seven Bulls - Jeti Oguz. See the famous Broken Heart Mountain. In addition, you can spend 20 minutes to see panorama view of the gorge. Continue your tour to the remote Bokonbaeva village and meet a local eagle-hunter. Being there you will be shown an eagle hunting. This skill is passed from generation to generation. On the way learn more about interesting facts about it and continue your way to Bishkek. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 7: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
The last day of our unforgettable tour will start by driving to incredibly beautiful Ala Archa gorge. Since a long time, the gorge is defined to be the Natural Park. It is worth mentioning that in the Soviet time only V.I.P. people had authorization to go for a walk here. The Ala Archa gorge is found on an offshoot of the Tien Shan mountain range for about 45 km from Bishkek. Being there everyone will have an idea of having a short hiking tour to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Then we will return to Bishkek. Transfer to a hotel for rest.
Day 8: Flight
In the morning is transfer to airport.
