Travel to Turkmenistan: Tour 3

Day 1: Ashgabat - Darvaza
When you arrive at the airport, the guide will meet you and transfer you for touring. We will start to visit "Old Nisa" defined to be the Sanctuary of Parhian Kings UNESCO World Heritage site. This wonderful tour continues to "Gypjak" Mosque and Mausoleum of the late President of Turkmenistan. In the afternoon we will start to drive through the Karakum desert to Darvaza, where is the well-known Gas Crater is located. We will have break in a camp for detecting crater at daytime and evening. Enjoy warm pit and listen the sound that this huge site. Overnight is in a tent.

Day 2: Darvaza - Ashgabat
In the morning we will continue our tour and drive to Ashgabat. Upon arrival we will have a city tour and learn more about astonishing places as Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, Lenin monument and of course Russian Bazaar. Ertugrul Gazi Mosque is the most lovely and exciting place in Turkmenistan. It was built in 1990 in the center of the city. This mosque can accommodate up to 5 thousand people. It has style of the ancient Islamic-Byzantine and astonishes with its magnificence and complexity.  Lenin monument is only kept monument to the front-runner of the world proletariat, which has been conserved in the capitals of the post-Soviet Central Asian republics. It is located in the very center of Ashgabat. In the Russian Bazaar you will get acquainted with lifestyle of the local people, bargain and buy a lot of oriental goods. Night is in a hotel.

Day 3: Ashgabat - ̀ary - Merv
Today is goal is driving to Mary city. We will visit Annau where you see the remnants of Seyit Jamal ad Din Mosque. Ruins belongs to the 15th century. Then we will explore Abiward or Abi ward. It is an ancient Sassanid city in modern-day Turkmenistan. The ancient city have been made in the last century. It is located about 8 km west of the Kahka station on the territory of 12,000 m2. The central tell is 60 feet high and 700 feet round. The tour continues to Mary city. Merv was located at the journey point of the Great Silk Road and rapidly became one of the largest cities of the ancient world because Silk Road passed here 2000 years. See the mausoleums of Sultan Sanjar and Muhammed Ibn Zeyd. This is farfetched masterwork of 12th century. Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 4: ̀ary - Ashgabat
The last day of a tour will start by driving to Ashgabat city. Ashgabat is a comparatively young city. In 2013 the city was comprised in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's uppermost attentiveness of white marble buildings in the world. It was originated in 1881. Upon arrival we will have rest and then have a city tour. Visit the main sites and highlights of the city such as beautiful parks and monuments, imposing mosque and other buildings. Rest is in a hotel.

Day 5: Flight
Night transfer to the airport.
