Travel to Kyrgyzstan: Tour 6

Day 1: Bishkek - Belogorka gorge - Bishkek
Upon arrival driver will pick you up and transfer you to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The road to Bishkek will take 40 minutes. Upon arrival you will visit the major sights of the city like Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic, and many others places of interest. Dafter it you will head on to Belogorka gorge. This wonderful sight is famous for its striking beauty and celestial mountains that walled it. In course of the tour you will see a waterfall where you can take a lot of prominent photos. After your short hiking tour we will come back to Bishkek. Night is in a hotel.

Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Kochkor
In the morning you will have a chance to see the famous for its colors Asian Bazaar. Here you can take a lot of vivid photos of local people life with noise and crowds. After it you will be transferred to Kochkor village. You will have a top to see the Burana Tower that is also a minaret of the 11th century. You can climb to the top of it to enjoy the the same view that Silk Road travelers saw themselves. Burana Tower served as a sign along the Great Silk Road to let travelers know there was a city and place to have a rest. Here you will also explore the open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors) which were erected for brave soldiers who died for their Motherland. After your excursion there is a scenic transfer to Kochkor. Night is in a homestay.

Day 3: Kochkor - Son Kul Lake
In course of the tour you will be transferred to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan. Son Kul Lake can be found in the celestial mountains on the altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. This area is a pastureland for Naryn herders and local people come here to rest and relaxation. Upon arrival you will have free time to explore the pristine nature of the lake. Overnight is in nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. They are made of a wooden skeleton and felt coverings.

Day 4: Son Kul - Tash Rabat
Today you will start your tour by heading on to the Tash Rabat Caravanserai. Upon arrival you will see the unique Stone Castle of the 14th century which is located on the path of great Silk Road. This prominent sight was built in the heart of Tian Shan Mountains on the altitude of 3 200 meters above sea level. You will be impressed to know that it made of stone blocks with walls are 1 m thick. The total amount of rooms is 31 also you can see here underground prison cells which were made for thieves in ancient times. The night will be spent in yurts near Tash Rabat Caravanserai.

Day 5: Tash Rabat - Kochkor
In the morning you will be transferred to Kochkor village. In course of the tours here you will have an opportunity to create your own carpet together with them while learning the method of creating felt them. After it you will have an excursion in a small handicraft museum where the exhibits of silver decorations, coats made of wool, horse saddle decorations, carpets and many other things can be seen. Night will be in a home stay. 

Day 6: Kochkor - Issyk Kul southern shore - Karakol 
We are glad to show you the Issyk Kul Lake. This sight is known as the second largest alpine lake in the world with the elevation of 1608 m. above sea level. Another interesting name of this lake is "the pearl of Central Asia" that is lays among the celestial mountains. It is interesting to note that it was considered as holy one for more than 1 500 years. On the way to this wonderful attraction you will have a stop at the Bokonbaeva village. Tours to this site are very popular due to the opportunity of visiting a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting).  Jeti Oguz gorge or Red Rocks is your next sight to explore. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. Then we continue our way to Karakol town. Night is in a hotel.

Day 7: Karakol - Issyk Kul northern shore - Bishkek
You will dive back to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The route of the tour will go through the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. On the way back you will have a stop to see the ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). You will be amazed to know that petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. You can see a panorama view of the Issyk Kul Lake from this place - people were thinking that it was the middle of the world. Night is in a hotel.

Day 8: Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
