Travel to Tajikistan: Tour 3

Day 1: Dushanbe
Have a great Tajikistan tour. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Dushanbe. We are glad to present the city tour. Visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal and House of parliament. Then we will drive 35 km to Hissor fortress found in the VII-XVII centuries where you can see citadel. The ambassador of the Emir of Bukhara spent his life over there. The site was located on a high with great walls of 1 m thick and loopholes for guns. There pool and a garden as well as busy market square with a caravan serai and shops. On the way you will see reinstated monuments of "Madrasa I Kuhna" of the 16th-17th centuries, mosque, the mausoleum of "Mahdumi Azam" of 16th century. Afterwards we will visit Botanical garden and Victory Park. Night is in a hotel.

Day 2: Dushanbe - Seven lakes
Drive to Fann Mounains through Anzob pass 3 372 m high with incredible panorama views. Fann Mountains are very widespread among hiking lovers. The next destination is Seven Lakes located about 60 km south of Penjakent. It is a great place for a short hiking in the gorge where 7 lakes are situated. They have dissimilar heights and colors. On the way we will meet local people and learn more about their lifestyle, traditions and of course national cuisine. Night is in the hotel.

Day 3: Seven lakes - Penjakent
Today is goal is driving to Penjakent or five villages via Shahriston pass 3 378 m high. This city is located in Khujand in Zeravshan river valley. The wonderful city was found in the 5th-8th centuries AD and was one of the most noteworthy cities of Sogd. It is also called "Central Asian Pompeii". It was a superbly great city with the ruler's palace, two temples, markets, buildings, decorated with frequent paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. Also, everyone will see dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 4: Penjakent - Iskanderkul - Dushanbe
Today you will travel to Iskanderkul Lake located on 2 255 m. a. s. l. in the famous Fann Mountains. It is the most prevalent territory of the Central Asia. On the lake you will have a walk by the beaches. If you dream to see magnificent waterfall you can hike 40 minutes. Tajikistan is defined to be the second place among the CIS countries for capacity of water resources with the highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. In the end of day, we will drive to Dushanbe. Night is in a hotel.

Day 5: Dushanbe - Romit gorge - Dushanbe
Today we will explore the unique Romit gorge. Our dear travelers will enjoy beautiful Tajik mountains and mountain rivers. On the gorge you will go hike to see the enormous of our beautiful mountains. Get additional knowledge about customs and traditions of Tajik people. There is the high chance to bath of our mountains. We will drive back to Dushanbe. Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 6: Flight
Airport transfer.
