Travel to Tajikistan: Tour 5

Day 1: Dushanbe
You will meet driver who will accompany you to explore the capital of Tajikistan. In course of the tour you will visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal and House of parliament. You will be transferred to National park where it will be possible to take vibrant photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and National Flag. The size of his flag is about 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long due to which it is known as the biggest flag in the world.  Later on you will have an excursion in the Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. Moreover you will have a chance to visit the real Asian Bazaar. Here you will be able to find many interesting goods. On the way you will be told about Tajik people and their culture. Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 2: Dushanbe - Iskanderkul Lake
The tour will start by driving to high Mountain lake - Iskanderkul (2 255 m. a. s. l.). You will find it situated in the famous Fann Mountains. We have no doubt you will be impressed by of Central Asia. You will drive through Anzob pass (3 372 m) and see one of the best panoramic views. Upon reaching the destination you will have time to enjoy the beauty of beaches. Then you will hike for 40 minutes to see a waterfall. During the tour you will learn that Tajikistan is on the second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources. Furthermore it has the highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Night is in a homestay.

Day 3: Iskanderkul Lake
We are glad to present the next day where you can try your hiking skills at Fann Mountains. Fann mountains are also known as "Kuhistan" from Farsi means (Mountainous Country). You will find more than 30 pure and variegated lakes of different size and shape. Tourists and locals like to come here to hike or trek. You will be impressed by the view of variety of flora and fauna which is unique and diverse. The tour will show you the most outstanding sights and great views. Your night will be spent in a homestay.

Day 4: Iskanderkul Lake - Dushanbe - Hissor
Today you will drive back to Dushanbe. The route of the tour will go via the Anzob pass which altitude is 3 372 m and tunnel of Isticlol. You will be transferred to visit Hisor fortress of VII-XVII centuries. This sight is encircled by strong walls 1 m thick and loopholes for guns and cannons. The fortress served as the residence of the delegate of Bukhara's Emir. Inside of it you can witness three mains of a pool and a garden, and in front of the fortress there was a busy market square with caravanserais and shops. It is a pity that most of sights are destroyed and the entrance gate with its two imposing towers survived. Nowadays you can enjoy the recently restored monuments of "Madrasa I Kuhna" (new school of 16th-17th centuries), mosque; the mausoleum of "Mahdumi Azam" (16th century). Night is in a hotel.

Day 5: Dushanbe - Norak - Kalai Khum
The day of the tour is dedicated to visit Kalai Khum village. On the way you will witness the beauty of Norak water reservoir which is also known as Tajik Sea. The road will go through the Shuraba pass the altitude of which is 2 267 m and Afghanistan border. You will be mesmerized by the breathtaking view of Pamir Mountains. During the tour you will know that many explorers like Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar came here and found inspiration. Tourist can witness then view that once saw these prominent people. The road will go along natural border - Pyanj River. Many travelers depict as the giant mountain system the ocean of white and blue mountains. This night is in a home stay.

Day 6: Kalai Khum - Khoburubot - Dushanbe
Today you will return to the capital of Tajikistan. In course of the tour you will drive through the Khoburubot Pass (3 252) which has another name Western Pamir Tract. By driving through the river valley and gorges you will have a photo stops to capture such amazing views. During the way you will have a chance to meet local people. This travel will show you that Tajik people are hardworking, hospitable, and kind-hearted. You will be impressed to know that nation greatly respects its traditions and folklore. Day 7: Flight
