Travel to Turkmenistan: Tour 8
Day 1: Ashgabat
Have a nice trip in Turkmenistan. Guests will be met at the International Airport and drive to Ashgabat. Upon arrival we will visit the Ertugrul Gazi mosque. The Azadi Mosque is the largest one in Ashgabat. It also is possible to occupy 5,000 people. It was constructed in Turkish style and dedicated to Oguzkhan Ertogrul - Osman I, the father of Osman Empire first leader. After visiting the mosque, we will drive to Russian bazar. It is one of the largest markets in the Turkmenistan and located in the centre of the city. The "Russian Bazaar" was built in the 1972-1982 by the project of the Russian architect Vladimir Visotin amongst other buildings that were comprised in the "Ashgabat Reconstruction Program of 1970-1980." Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Kow Ata - Nokhur - Balkanabat
Having a hearty breakfast, we will drive to Kow Ata underground lake. This cave is located 100 kilometers far from Ashgabat. There is a lake, which respire warm stream, in the depth of 60 meters from entry into the cave. Long steps with 350 stairs lead to it. After Kow Ata we will drive to the Nohur village. A four-hour drive from Ashgabat in the west of Kopet Dag range there is an area settled by Turkmens of the mountain community Nokhur that have for centuries conserved their unique culture, traditional crafts and architecture. Nokhur is in the list of 100 the most romantic places of the world. Attractive villages Old and New Nokhur on the mountain plateau are beauty of two-store houses of exclusive architecture that are on the foothill cliffs amid vines, almond and pomegranate trees. In the end of day we will drive to the Balkanabat region. Rest is in Balkanabat.
Day 3: Balkanabat - Yangykala - Gozli Ata - Turkmenbashy - Awaza
After breakfast in Balkanabat drive to the Yangykala canyon. A vast rock landscape with rock walls as tall as 60-100meters coloured with pink, red and yellow colours. A landscape that was created more than 5.5 million years ago, when the red cliffs wall you know see, where underwater limestone walls full of massive coral reefs from the pre-historical Parathetys Sea. Then we will drive to the Gozli-Ata and further to Turkmenbashy and Awaza. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Awaza - Turkmenbashy - Ashgabat
In the morning you will have some free time to relish there. Awaza is a touristic zone in Turkmenistan, situated at the east side of Caspian Sea. We will drive to Turkmenbashy and take a flight in Ashgabat. Night is in a hotel.
Day 5: Ashgabat - Darwaza
In the morning in the Ashgabat start the day by visiting the carpet museum. We will drive to the Darwaza gas crater. This is well-known as the gate of the hell. In the evening you can perceive the remarkable and charming view of the gas crater. Rest.
Day 6: Darwaza - Ashgabat
In the afternoon we will drive to the Ashgabat city and then visit the commemorative complex. In the memorial complex you can see the monuments linked the period of the time of the war the "Second World War" (1941-1945). Afterwards we will visit memorial complex and drive to the Alem cultural place. Also, you can visit the Palace of Happiness. Night is in a hotel.
Day 7: Flight
Morning transfer to the airport.
